The Sancak family started their business in 1950 under the auspices of their father, Abdulkerim Sancak. Today, the Grup is one of the country's prominent organizations, providing services in different industries.
The Grup aims to reach $1 billion in revenues by 2023 and to earn 15 percent of this figure from exports. Saya Grup will continue to put people first and invest in R&D and internal training sessions every year.
Volt Motor and Volt Gearbox companies needed to create a new customer communication channel to exhibit their products on a mobile and web application. What's more the system would serve as an after sales tracking system.
Electrical Motors and Gerboxes are complemantary products thats why both companies would share the same application. This requirement made our job a little bit more complicated. We should have designed an intuitive UI which will not confuse the users mind. This app should be serving as a digital catalog but could easly be converted to an ecommerce app in the future.
Customers also should be able to download spec-sheets and also any design documents related to products that they are considering to buy.
We started with exploration meetings to discover requirements and than prepared conceptual designs. Afterwards, UX/UI teams studied the user stories and prepared draft UI designs with several alternatives. We agreed on a design together with the client team.
We developed a CMS app, a web application for desktop and for mobile view and also a mobile app which work in webview mode.
CMS application enables users to add new products together with specsheets and any related technical and non technical documents.
Also users can upload products and documents in bulk. This feature speeded up to go live period. There are specific sections for electrical motors and gerboxes because each product has differen specs and features to filter.
The idea was to create only one app which will serve for both desktop users and mobile users.
The web application has two different projects: one for desktop and one for mobile. Designs are identical and the differencea are only in background which makes the UI mobile compatible.
The application designed in such a manner that it looks like an ecommerce app and the user could filter products as if he/she did in an ecommerce app. This was a design choice since each and every person can easily use an ecommerce app nowadays and our app would look familiar to them. This design choice enables the user to immediately start using the app.
The mobile app works in webview mode and contains tha mobile project version of the web app. Although the application work in webview mode some features, such as document download, are implemented in mobile app project side.
As Volt Motor and Volt Gearbox, we decided what we wanted to do to keep up with the digital transformation era. It was one of our most important goals to create a new channel, especially for presenting information to customers.
